ARE YOU LINKING TO BAD WEBSITES- IDENTIFYING BAD LINKS
A very large number of people still don’t get enough traffic to their websites: especially from search engines. If you have done all listed in SEO part 1, SEO part 2 and SEO part 3 and you still cannot get enough traffic to your website (or none at all), I want you to know that this is not the time to be crying, putting some blame on yourself or your webmaster, It is also not the time to lose hope. I will like you to read this post very well because no one knows if your solution lies therein.
A very critical factor that little or no webmaster cares about is the websites they link to: Google even said that they can not ban you for off-page SEO but they can ban you for on-page SEO of which is who you are linking to. I don’t want you to panic but I want you to read this post in which your solution lies. Many websites that are being banned by Google are eventually new sites, low pagerank sites or sites with very few pages (not all of them though but a very little fraction of them) and sometimes high pagerank sites, old age sites and even sites with many pages. This is confusing you say, but my friends at Xpelo have done a great job on identifying banned link, their software is called Xpelo Banned Link Security Scan. This software will require you to enter your website details (be it a domain name, web page or even a whole website), the software will then scan all for banned link, this software will now tell you where the link is thereby making it easy for you to delete the bad links.
This software is a must have and I personally use it for my website. It might be a very tough and difficult task to be doing this personally when something has been made for this exact purpose, just connect to the internet, open the software, enter your website, blog or webpage details and then click on start. You can even be sleeping why the software is doing the rest for you. The software can be bought here Xpelo Banned Link Security Scan website.
These are some of the features:
Flexible Banned Link Search: Check an entire website, a single page of links, or any domain quickly and easily. Now you can sit back and check any website for banned links instantly, or spy on your competitor’s link partners!
Locate & Identify Banned Links: Collect a master list of link partners on every page in seconds. Watch the list build right before your eyes and finally see which link partners need to be removed from your website and help improve Google rankings.
Validate Banned Links: Find banned links on your website instantly, even if you forget to validate your link partners during a trade it’s ok because checking for banned link partners all at once is finally here and available to use.
Import & Export Link Partners: Need to check a file of links? No problem, just upload your list and presto!…get instant status notification of your link partners. Search results can also be exported for use on any external API programming feeds.

[...] Who you link to: It is also very important if you are mindful of who you are linking to because some websites have been penalized by search engines and it might cost you your rankings if you link to them. It is not so easy to detect banned links easily, but here is a nice post on doing it automatically: “detecting bad links“ [...]
What a great concept. I always wondered about negative sites and bad neighborhoods, which Google tells you to stay away from, but doesn’t tell you how you would know if it is a bad neighborhood. This software is a great innovation, and I will be downloading the demo as soon as I post this to try it out and more than likely purchase it to make sure that my website does not engage in bad links. I can really appreciate this post and hope that everyone else finds it just as valuable. Thanks!
